Moss color eyeliner works GREAT on TURQUOISE eyes! June 9, 2010 tAsTytEmPAi I went to Macy's yesterday and decided to try on some eyeliner from Clinique. I had been using a black liquid eyeliner by wetnwild, but it would smear. I planned on getting a new black liquid eyeliner, but the lady had me try on Moss as well...and WOW! It looks very natural and brings out my eyecolor!
Although I haven't found out anything that REALLY brings out my eyecolor, this one makes the green really *Pop* from even a couple feet away!
I am very happy with this purchase -- MUCH better than any of those drugstore brands that promised to bring out "Green blue" eye color or "bring out the greens." *rolls eyes* <--- these did nothing OR made me look like I got punched in the eye...or was an aspiring clown o__o
*Highly Recommended*
Not What It's Cracked Up to Be December 20, 2009 Abbie Adams (Rocky Mountains, USA) I ordered this product because of the favorable reviews. What I needed: eyeliner that stays put, that is quick and easy to use, easily blendable, and truly self-sharpening. The Clinique Quickliner is easy to use and does blend really well. It has very little staying power, though, and it is NOT self-sharpening. It swivels up just most other crayon- or pencil-type eyeliners, but there is no mechanism for making it into a point, or even a cone. (There is no sharpening mechanism whatsoever.) Consequently, it is not good for creating reasonably thin lines. I don't like having a wide stripe of eyeliner under my eyes. Because of the plastic tube, it cannot be sharpened in a regular sharpener, either.
I must say, I was disappointed. This is not a cheap eyeliner. For this price, I expect it to last through at least most of the day and to be self-sharpening. I wish I hadn't bought it and will not do so again.
Never received it September 1, 2009 MS Jai D. 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this eyeliner. Clinique is the only make-up I am not allergic to. This was ordered for Me as a gift. I never received it. For that - you get 1 star. Too bad they don't let you give negative stars...
Difficult for use on waterline. July 28, 2009 K. Oechler (NH) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Otherwise its fabulous. It stays forever, no joke. I went camping for four days and I put it on the first day, and it was still going strong on the third day. I love Clinique.
Essential eyeliner July 24, 2009 Melissa Niksic (Chicago, IL United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have this product in black/brown, which is still pretty black but not super intense, so I wear it to work a lot. The product is easy to apply, goes on smoothly, and is easy to smudge. I like it because I don't have to sharpen it, which is a major bonus. I definitely recommend this product.

Remove from heat. Beat until cool. Whip until it is cold or set. The camphor is for chapped lips, and menthol gives a mint-like taste. You can use 1/2 ounce of each, if desired. For colored gloss: Soak alkanet root in the sesame oil for 2 weeks. This will color the oil a dark red. Strain the oil before combining it with the beeswax and camphor or menthol. |
