I live in the Northeast and I have used this product for a while. I use it especially during the winter months when it is much too cold and damaging to the hair to shampoo everyday. I just love how it makes my hair look! I would recommend this product.

I purchased this product with the intentions of using it to extend the time between natural oil-stripping washes. I have a very short 'pixie'/rosemary's baby haircut and usually spent time and wasted gallons of water every morning re-wetting my hair under the bathtub faucet.
I found the mist worked well for reviving yesterday's pomade while retaining the natural oils in my hair. It saved water and it saved me using more hair product on top of existing hair product. I'd actually call it a money and time saver! It had a pleasant clean scent although it was heavy and seemed to stay with me througout the day. I would assume this 'heaviness' was in part due to the oils in the product.
These same oils though were the source of my problems with the product. I found that if I strayed while spraying and accidentally got it on my face or the skin around my forehead that it would leave me quite greasy and shiny. If I didn't accidentally spray near my face I would still be extra oily around my face by the end of the day. This was almost too much oil for my skin (obviously, b/c it was never intended for the face)and I've not been using the product as much as I would like to.
Spraying this product on super short hair *sounds* like a perfect match; however, it drips down onto my forehead and shoulders before I have time to rub it in. For this reason I think it might be GREAT for folks with long hair but it's only OK for folks with short cuts.

Because I have dyed hair and I use a straightener, I try to minimise the amount of times I wash my hair as I don't want to dry it out. In the past, I've used dry powder-type shampoos. Unfortunately, these have tended to leave a white/gray film if they're not rubbed well in. The smell has also been a little off-putting.
No such worries with this product, though! The weightless mist leaves no residue and although my hair felt quite wet initially, it dried quickly. It has a pleasant lavender fragrance and refreshed my style for a few days. In short it does what is says on the tin!

| | Beauty Recipies | Almond Bath Bomb1/4 cup baking soda
2 tablespoons citric acid or ascorbic acid
1 tablespoon Borax powder
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons sweet almond oil
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
1/4 teaspoon essential oil Combine dry ingredients in bowl and stir until well blended. Drizzle in almond oil and stir until mixture is moistened. Add vitamin E oil and fragrance and stir until well mixed. Take teaspoon size globs of mixture and form balls. If mixture is crumbly, add more vitamin E oil. Put balls on sheet of wax paper and leave for 2 or 3 hours. Reshape balls, then let air dry and harden for 10 days. Store in a closed container. |
