3 out of 5 stars curling iron   October 29, 2008
Cheryl Steffen (Littleton, CO)
this curling iron is too big for my hair (1-1/2"). I thought I would like it, but I don't. Why is it too hard to find 1-1/4" curling brush wands?

5 out of 5 stars Easy to use curling brush   September 6, 2008
Julie F. Brooks (Michigan)
After searching far and wide, I was so happy to find a brush style curling iron - without the blow-dryer function. The bristles are soft plastic, but firm enough to hold your hair as you pull it through and the bristles are effective at detangling. Gets hot very quickly. It is easy to accidently push the switch to off - I can deal with that. I am going to buy another with the 1" barrel and perhaps an additional with the 1 1/2" barrel - I am so afraid I won't be able to find a brush curling iron again.

5 out of 5 stars Helps me to have a "Rachel" LOL   November 17, 2007

I finally found a product to give me that slight "bend" that I needed to make me look like Jennifer Aniston (I wish!). I recently cut my, somewhat long, baby fine and thinning hair into that style known as "The Rachel". The one that Jennifer Aniston made so popular. It is long all over, but graduated lengths in the front. This style needs a large round brush to acheive that slight bend at the ends.

I am terrible with a round brush and blow dryer. I tried a blow dryer with a round brush attachment and found it extremely cumbersome. Finally, I came upon the Helen of Troy "Mega" heated brush and..... voila!....perfection!

I dry my hair with a regular blow dryer and after it is dry, I use the "Mega" brush to give me the "bend". I can also use it on days when I have not washed my hair, as well.

I am very pleased with this product.

4 out of 5 stars Great Everyday curling iron   March 13, 2007

I had this same curling iron before, but dropped it so many times that it cracked causing me to buy a new one. The new curling iron is just as great as my old one, and I love a brush curling iron because it gives a softer curve and is also a bit harder to burn yourself on. However, I've still managed to burn myself! The one thing I do not like about this new curling iron is that there is this really tiny groove that runs around the bottom of the barrel between the hot barrel and the handle. My hair gets caught in this grove all the time, and it either ends up getting pulled out or crimped really funny. I think as the curling iron gets older and is used more perhaps this groove won't longer be an issue. Overall, I still like the curling iron and I use it almost everyday.

5 out of 5 stars It's a great product...   January 7, 2007

Works great everytime. Warms up quickly and gets hot enough. Just wish it had an auto shutoff. Don't purchase from a beauty supply..they want 2.5 times the price you will pay online.

Honey-Wheat Germ Scrub Masque

To rid oily skin of blackheads.

2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons wheat germ (NOT toasted)

Heat honey slightly; add wheat germ. Mix thoroughly. Apply to face and rub gently over affected areas for 3 to 4 minutes. After rubbing, leave mixture on face for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with 30 to 40 splashes of very hot water. Use for a week or 10 days - less if skin improves rapidly.
