5 out of 5 stars Covers rosacea, doesn't irritate it, and no breakouts, smooth coverage   October 8, 2008
Laura Bee
I am 52 with lines and horrid red bumps and discoloration from rosacea. The doc told me to only use mineral makeup, which did not look attractive on me. I tried this makeup and it not only covered the redness without any primer, it also is buildable for bad areas (worst sections only took 2 thin layers), it looks natural, and seemed to "youthenize" my lines and wrinkles. I like it very much. I am also trying some other Laura Mercier products now, and something is burning my eyes. But, unlike most foundations and even mineral products, it is not the foundation! GREAT find.

5 out of 5 stars Acne marks? Sun spots? This will cover everything!   June 21, 2008

I'm a makeup artist so as you can imagine I love makeup and search for the best of the best. I am a 31 year old woman that occasionally breaks out, but I am always left with a red/brown mark for a few weeks. This foundation is a lifesaver. After applying, I look flawless. People always compliment my skin (and I think, if you only knew what I'm hiding) You really don't need concealer, just tap on a second layer over the imperfection. I use my fingers in a quick downward sweeping motion and I set it with the loose translucent powder. Laura, you rock sister!

3 out of 5 stars I love Laura Mercier products   April 18, 2008

I love Laura Mercier products but this wasn't my favorite as I'm not sure I got the best color for me. I got Bamboo beige & wasn't as happy w/it as I am w/tinted moisturizer. It cakes a little I think as well.

2 out of 5 stars Very disappointed!   April 14, 2008
J. May (New Bern, NC)
Since Laura Mercier seems to be a respected name in cosmetics, I expected a lot more. The appearance was fine but I found the foundation very difficult to apply. I tried with a sponge, with my fingers and also with and without foundation primer and I found it difficult to apply smoothly. It took a lot longer than my regular foundation (L'Oreal) to apply and the end result looked basically the same~ for a lot more money. I will definitely not buy this or Laura Mercier's primer again. I usually use Bare Essentuals or Smashbox primers and this foundation was easier to apply with them but still not satisfactory.

5 out of 5 stars Good stuff   January 4, 2008

This is a much better consistency than the other Laura Mercier Oil-Free foundation. The lady at the counter told me this is very heavy coverage, but I think it is perfect and since u only need a little bit, it doesn't feel heavy. I have flaky oily skin (from AHA treatments) and it didn't overly highlight my dry areas like the other Laura Oil-Free Foundation, and I also think it looks more matte. Love it!
