Amazon.com Product Description
Did you know one in four Americans worry about excessive sweating? That's why there's Degree Clinical Protection. It's three times more effective than the level of wetness protection required by the FDA.

In fact, you get prescription strength wetness protection without the need for a prescription. Degree Clinical Protection is formulated with innovative TRIsolid body responsive technology, so you have peace-of-mind knowing it's working hardest when you need it most.

Degree Clinical Protection is formulated to provide clinical wetness protection without the irritation and discomfort caused by prescription anti-perspirants. Also available for women.

Degree Clinical Protection provides prescription strength protection without a prescription.
Who is Degree Clinical Protection For?
Anyone who does not want to be held back by perspiration or odor will benefit from Degree clinical protection levels.

How do I use it?
For maximum protection, apply to underarms before going to bed. While resting, the TRIsolid formula acclimates to the body, forming a deep level of protection. This protection lasts throughout the following day, even after a shower. Degree Clinical Protection can also be applied in the morning. The recommended dose for each underarm is 2 clicks.

Why apply Degree Clinical Protection at night?
Research shows that body temperature is not constant throughout the day and oscillates in a cycle known as the Circadian Rhythm. Under natural conditions, body temperature oscillates from a nighttime low of 97.7°F to a midday high of 98.9°F. Due to this cycle, skin is more receptive to Degree Clinical Protection while sleeping. This gives the formula time to work and build a strong level of protection for the day ahead.

How is the Degree TRIsolid formulation less irritating on skin than a prescription product?
The Degree TRIsolid formulation provides clinical wetness protection without the irritation and discomfort often caused by prescription anti-perspirants. Aluminum Chloride, an acidic ingredient, and alcohols, such as ethanol, are irritating components often found in prescription anti-perspirants. Degree Clinical Protection does not contain any of these ingredients. In fact, the TRIsolid formula contains dimethicone, an advanced skincare ingredient, which is commonly found in baby care products and skin lotions.

What do I do about excess sweating?
Past puberty, axillary (underarm) sweat and odor are normal body functions. Regular anti-perspirants can be effective in reducing normal levels of underarm sweating. However, some people may experience hyperhidrosis, a medical condition otherwise known as excessive sweating. Axillary hyperhidrosis can be a distressing problem and typically requires a stronger form of protection. To learn more about excessive sweating, go to www.antiperspirantsinfo.com or contact your local doctor or physician.

What is the difference between Deodorants and Anti-perspirants?
Normally, body temperature is in balance i.e. the heat generated by the body is the same as the heat leaving the body. However, when more heat is generated this balance shifts and the body becomes too hot. To re-establish the heat equilibrium, the body needs to increase heat output and this is achieved by sweating. Sweating can also occur in emotional situations when a person becomes nervous or embarrassed. Anti-perspirants reduce sweat by controlling the flow of underarm perspiration and masking body odor. Deodorants, on the other hand, prevent odor by using fragrance and by reducing the levels of underarm bacteria. However, deodorants alone do not stop sweating.

Are anti-perspirants safe?
Anti-perspirants have been used for more than sixty years and the overwhelming weight of evidence indicates that they are safe and effective. Unilever works with leading academic institutions around the world to advance its understanding of sweating and underarm protection to create highly effective and well tested formulations like Degree Clinical Protection. Visit www.antiperspirantsinfo.com for more information.

Product Description
Habits & attitude data shows that 'underarm wetness is preceived to be a moderate or big problem for 27% of men and 21% of women'. 22% of men & 19% of women say they need more protection than the average person. Degree Clinical Protection is formulated with innovative TRIsolid body responsive technology which contains three important components: Unbeatable clinically proven protection without a prescription; Patented encapsulated fragrance technology; Unique skin moisturizing ingredient, clinically proven to reduce skin irritation.

1 out of 5 stars Dissapointing   June 5, 2010

well i sweat alot for no reason. i could be freezing cold and just chilllen and ill sweat.

1st day i tried it i was working and i still sweat. not a ton but it still was there. now i knowits a wetness reducer. and not a total block for sweat. but being under no controlled experiment... idk if its works good or great or not at all.

the second day i wear it and i get sweat marks on my undershirt before im even done getting dressed.. so i dont approve.

1 out of 5 stars Bad side effects...   May 11, 2010
Be Warned (Madison, Wisconsin, US)
I bought this product after having read all the 5 star and 4 star reviews and thought this would be good.

However after usage of a few days, I found that when I did not apply the deodorant, for no apparent reason, my underarms will start sweating/perspiring.

Yes, after applying the deodorant, my underarms did not perspire. However the next day or so, while doing tasks such as reading or studying, my underarms would start sweating even though the weather is cold and dry.

Thus, I googled the side effects of the active ingredient aluminium zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly and found that there are harmful side effects of long-term usage of the product ([...])

I have since stop using this product.

4 out of 5 stars Not a total solution, but it's getting there...   February 24, 2010
Andrew Ellington (I'm kind of everywhere)
Okay, so this is a tad embarrassing to admit, but I sweat. Not like gross puddles of icky sweat, but I do sweat more than most people I know. It could be 30 degrees outside and yet the underarms of my shirt will be wet shortly, promise you that. It's irritating, not only because it's unattractive (who wants to see that) but it's also a problem with staining my underarms (I hardly ever wear white because of that) so I am always looking for a product that will limit the sweating.

While this doesn't eliminate it the way I'd like it to (my undershirts are not COMPLETELY dry), it works better than any other deodorant I've ever used, so I'll keep using it unless I find something better. They are serious when they say that putting it on at night will last you through the next day (although I always put it on after a shower, morning or evening).

It is a tad pricey (okay, a lot pricey), but what can you do about that. It's not like it goes fast, so it's money well spent, especially if you have a problem with overactive glands (ugh, don't you hate that). I recommend this. I just hope that one day they perfect their formula even more.

5 out of 5 stars Works for me DA BEST!!!   December 17, 2009

Thanx Degree!!! I've finally found what I was looking for ... for YEARS! Best men's anti-perspirant deodorant ever! Highly recommend it! Look NO further, guys!!! Apply it every night (2 clicks) and you're good to go next morning! Period! Do NOT trust Mitchum products - they're all just glorified JUNK!

5 out of 5 stars The BEST   September 20, 2009
Peter (Tres Pinos, CA United States)
I'm sorry to see the package is now 1.7 oz. When I ordered it before I got 2 sticks that were 2.7 oz each, for the same price, if I remember right.

Anyway, this product is outstanding. Apply it just before bedtime (that took some getting used to) and I can't sweat (underarms) if I tried.

The product also lasts forever (months and months), even when you think the stick is about out of product, it still lasts another 3 weeks.

Should Salons Charge More for Overweight People?

According to Yahoo, a woman was recently charged an extra $5 at a nail salon in Georgia for being overweight. The manager of the salon claimed she had to collect money for the eventual repair/replacement of the pedicure chairs which aren't made for people over 200 pounds. (Read the full article)....

How to Get a Hairstyle You Won't Hate

As a beauty writer, I've heard relatively few hair salon horror stories. What I hear a lot of is what I'll call "Hair Disappointment Stories." This is when women leave the salon underwhelmed. Perhaps they expected to feel sexier, they wanted brighter highlights or an edgier cut. Maybe the styli...

How to Get Beachy Waves

There are some girls who just look better with tousled hair, rather than perfectly straightened, flat-ironed hair and Sienna Miller is one of them. Kate Hudson is another, Jessica Simpson yet another.

To get the beachy, wavy look it helps if your hair has some natural wave to it and this look ...

Bath Jelly

1/2 cup water
1 envelope unflavored gelatine
1/2 cup bubble bath or liquid soap
Food coloring (optional)

Heat the water until boiling and dissolve the gelatine in it. Add the bubble bath or soap very slowly and do not beat because it may become foamy. Stir gently and blend. Pour the mixture into a container with a lid.

If the jelly is going to be used by children you can drop in a small toy or seashells. Put in the refrigerator to gel.

To use, place a small amount of jelly under tap water or use as a shower gel.
