This is a very good and effective product especially when used with the cleaning cartridge. It requires little care and cleans well and easily. The product was delivered quickly and in perfect condition.

NOT a genuine Honeywell Filter November 20, 2008

For now, I'm giving this 2 stars because it is not a Honeywell filter. According to the box this is a "BestAir Extended Life Humidi*Wick Filter" that is compatible as a generic replacement for the HC-14.

I felt a little "bait and switched" because the title of this product implies this is a Honeywell product. It's not.

I've got 3 of these so I'll run through these and then update my rating.

This is not a "Honeywell HC-14 Replacement Filter", it is a replacement for a Honeywell HC-14 filter. Not the most straightforward description from the seller. That said, for all I know, it's a better item. I need the item, so I guess I'll find out about the quality.

The picture of the filter is misleading, it has an additional blue layer on the exterior of item. Filter appears to do the job. For my hard water I flip the filter for a longer life.

Sprain / Strain / Bruise Tincture

Source: Great Life, June 1998 - Recipe by Kathi Keville

8 drops marjoram essential oil
8 drops lavender essential oil
2 drops chamomile essential oil
1 ounce bottle St. John's wort tincture

Add the essential oils to the tincture.

Apply liberally on the injury, then top by lightly pressing on an ice pack. Keep area raised for a while and reapply the remedy until pain and swelling subsides.

Notes: Sprains, strains and bruises - An active lifestyle does increase the risk of wrenching an ankle, pulling a muscle and/or bruising a limb. In all three cases, the first-aid rule is to decrease the swelling right away with R.I.C.E.... rest, ice, compression and elevation...plus aromatherapy, of course. Chamomile, jasmine, lavender, marjoram, melissa (lemon balm) and helichrysum decrease the swelling and discoloration while easing pain.
